DEEP CLEANING CHECKLIST


Kitchen


  • Always remember clean from top to bottom

  • Clean the microwave inside and out

  • Deep clean the dishwasher

  • Clean the refrigerator and freezer inside and out

  • Clean the oven inside and out

  • Clean countertops

  • Clean the hood vent and change filter if needed

  • Clean stove top burners

  • Clean and disinfect the garbage disposal

  • Clean cabinets and drawers (inside and outside)

  • Clean under the sink 

  • Deep clean floors

  • Wipe down walls – It’s important to clean walls before paint to make sure what you think needs to be painted needs to be painted

  • Clean doorknobs, light fixtures and pulls

  • Dust crown molding, wall corners, and floor molding

  • Clean air vents from the ceiling

  • Dust and clean windowsills, including blinds

  • Wipe down doors


Dining Room


  • Always remember clean from top to bottom.

  • Dust crown molding, wall corners, and floor molding

  • Wipe walls– It’s important to clean walls before paint to make sure what you think needs to be painted needs to be painted.

  • Clean light switches and outlets

  • Remove all dust from top to bottom.

  • Clean light fixtures-Glass globes with glass cleaner and/or in the dishwasher, NO SMUDGES

  • Wipe down all tables and chairs, including legs and underneath.

  • Remove rug, shake, vacuum and clean floor before replacing rug.

  • Clean air vents from the ceiling.

  • Dust and clean windowsills, including blinds

  • Wipe down doors


Bathrooms


  • Always remember clean from top to bottom

  • Clean air vents from the ceiling

  • Clean light switches and fixtures

  • Clean mirror

  • Clean shower door frame

  • Clean shower glass- Get rid of hard water stains 

  • Clean plastic strip at the bottom of a glass shower door-no mildew or discoloration- may need to be replaced.  

  • Clean counter tops

  • Dust and clean windowsills, including blinds 

  • Mop and scrub floors

  • Scrub and disinfect toilet, including around base, under seat and around hinges

  • Scrub the bathtub and/or shower

  • Wipe walls – It’s important to clean walls before paint to make sure what you think needs to be painted needs to be painted

  • Clean cabinets, knobs, towel racks and toilet paper holder

  • Clean bathroom exhaust fan

  • Clean shower head

  • Clean cabinets and drawers.

  • Clean bathroom closet

  • Wipe down doors


Living Room/Family Room


  • Always remember to clean top to bottom

  • Dust crown molding, wall corners, and floor molding

  • Wipe down walls – It’s important to clean walls before paint to make sure what you think needs to be painted needs to be painted

  • Vacuum all carpet area

  • Vacuum under furniture and in between cushions

  • Dust ceiling fans

  • Clean lights and wash light globes

  • Dust lamps

  • Dust edges of wall hangings, mirrors, and pictures

  • Clean windowsills and blinds

  • Dust electronics if any are present

  • Wipe down doors

  • Turn over all furniture and clean from the inside out, no dirt or dust bunnies


Bedrooms


  • Always remember to clean from top to bottom.

  • Dust ceiling, corners, and crown moldings

  • Dust and clean baseboards, windowsills, and blinds

  • Dust and polish all furniture

  • Dust edges of wall hangings, mirrors, and picture

  • Wipe down walls – It’s important to clean walls before paint to make sure what you think needs to be painted needs to be painted

  • Clean glass and mirrors

  • Dust lamps

  • Vacuum lamp shades

  • Clean ceiling fan

  • Clean light fixtures

  • Vacuum carpet, including edges and under furniture

  • Clean doorknobs and light switch plates
